Little Roo was spotted and picked up by the WECarers as he was missing half of his leg and although someone had tried to bandage it, he needed a lot more than that to fix him up and they could see that straight away. 

Our spotlight is back, and this time it's beautiful Lassie! She was attacked by three wild boar and had multiple critical injuries as the boars tusks had gone through her chest and abdomen. Her prognosis was sadly very poor, however, the team performed three major surgeries - a thorocatomy to stitch up the wounds, a leg amputation, and an intestinal surgery...

Beautiful Babe was rescued from the streets of Matara after she was discovered on a grass verge completely hairless and a bit miserable.  She looked exactly like the pig in the movie Babe, and so she was fittingly crowned by the Wecarers...

August's star dogosaur is the beautiful Brownie. This little girl was brought into the WECare clinic back in May by her owners after she returned home from an adventure with an extremely severe burn wound which covered pretty much here entire right side...

Lucy was first brought to the WECare team's  attention back in March when a concerned local gave them a call. She was found with a huge open wound on her abdomen that had clearly been there for quite some time as all the tissue was dead.

Jenny was well known to the WECare volunteers a long time before she went in to be treated... In fact Jenny used to be rather grumpy with them, and would cause a bit of a scene when her friends Jess and Jade (aka the twins) would run up to greet them on their way to the clinic. 

Doris was first picked up by the WECare dog catching team at their March CNVR (catch, neuter, vaccinate, release) day. They realised immediately that something wasn't right with her - her back left leg appeared to have a femoral fracture, so they decided to take her in to the WECare clinic to be checked over and treated...
