This week is both Aslan (19th June) and Patch's (22nd June) birthdays, so for phase one of the celebrations, I thought I'd try making them a liver cake, which apparently is totally irresistible to dogosaurs... I can confirm, after attempt number one, that this is true! All 3 of our boys went mad for their delicious cake. The recipe below makes a huge cake, but you can put bits in the freezer so it'll keep for a while. I hope your dogosaurs enjoy it as much as mine do!!
450g liver (I used chicken)
450g gluten free flour (better for our dogosaurs' tums)
3 free range eggs
Milk or water
1 - Crack the eggs into a measuring jug
2 - Pour in the same amount of either milk or water and whisk
3 - Blend the liver in a food processor
4 - Add the egg mixture and flour to the liver and blend to a sponge mixture consistency
5 - Empty contents into a greased baking tray and put in the oven at 180 degrees for 35 - 45 minutes
6 - Remove, allow to cool, and watch the happy dogosaur face as he or she consumes your wonderful creation!!
